Ellen Mooney - Practice Principal

Ellen has over 25 years’ experience in finance, initially employed as an accountant before embracing financial planning and advice as a career. Originally mentored through employment with major banks in Australia, Ellen founded Coastal Compass Financial Planning to be able to provide tailored advice to clients so that they are able to spend more time doing what they enjoy the most in life and not worrying about their future.
Ellen holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of South Australia as well as post graduate qualifications from Deakin University. She is also an AFP member of the Financial Advice Association of Australia and is bound by their code of conduct and ethics.
Outside of work Ellen is a ANKC dog judge and lives with her partner Ajay and two whippets Penny and Boomie. She also enjoys watching most AFL matches on the weekend and practicing her newest hobby painting with watercolour.
Adrian Fawcett - Office Manager
Adrian (or Ajay as you will learn when you meet him) is Ellen’s life partner and has taken responsibility of the administration arm of Coastal Compass Financial Planning.
Adrian spent over 25 years working in the oil and gas industry predominantly on a FIFO basis, before leaving the industry to concentrate on house renovations.
Adrian is also a keen follower of AFL and enjoys all outdoor activities.
